About Us
| The J&L Reenactor Emporium is a mother-daughter owned online shop for reenactors of the Civil War. The J in J&L is Jessica, who has 20 years of experience in researching fashion of the 18th and 19th century and has also been a reenactor for 15 years. She is an author, a genealogist and an artist in addition to her research work for the Emporium. The L in J&L is Lori, who is Jessica's mother, and has over 30 years of experience as a seamstress, with experience in needlepoint and embroidery as well. She works part-time in a craft store and devotes her free days to her seamstress work.
Our Reenactor Emporium sells ready made work dresses, day dresses, ballgowns, head pieces, several styles of bonnets, belts, reticules, other bags, jewelry and much more. Additionally, our Reenactor Emporium has been getting involved with creating custom fit civilian mens suits as well as military uniforms of the 1860s. All of our items are constructed of materials as close to those used in history as possible. We also create dresses that are custom designed and constructed to fit each client on an individual basis. Work does not conclude until each client is fully satisfied. |
